Since it has been over a year since I posted anything, I am just going to start here.

We had family pictures taken. Gauge was not cooperating at all. Trying to get a 2 year old boy to sit still is a joke.

Here are some pictures from our slow summer. We didn't do a lot but we had some exciting moments.

For example Gauge was attacked by a CHICKEN. Yes this really did happen. Needless to say the chicken didn't make it throught the night.

If you look close you can see the peck marks on his forehead.

We are just so lucky it didn't get his eye.

We also spend a lot of time in any water source that Gauge could find.

Ok so I have been totally slacking. I will be posting some pictures very soon.
But in the meen time here is an update.
We haven't been up to much just the usual. Gauge is getting so BIG! He will be a year old on the 25th of this month. CRAZY how fast it has gone. He is such a handful. He has been walking for about 2 months now, so everything in his path is in danger! haha. he is also starting to try and talk. He will say UHH OHH!! and Whats that and Where did it go. he also sounds like tarzan most of the time. such a sqeeker. He is so much like Tyler. He loves to be outside with his dad.
We haven't done to much this summer. We took a trip to Arizona to my cousin's wedding and the 4th of july. That was alot of fun. We got to stay with my Cousin/Sister Tami and Her family. They just bought a really nice house. Congrats Guys!! Other than that he have just been hanging out at home. YAY!!

So the last 2 months have been a little crazy. Gauge has gotten so BIG! He is so much fun.

Here are the stats from his 6 month checkup.

Weight 17lbs 14 oz

Height 26 inches

He is a big boy.

Gauge is up to lots of mischeif. Here are some of the things he is up to.

He loves to eat his big boy food. Anything you are willing to feed him, he will eat.

He rolls to get anywhere and gets into everything.

Sits up all by himself

Gets up on his hands and knees

Pulls himself to a standing position

Feeds himself

Says dadda and we are working on mamma. When he gets tired he says nanna ( i think is stands for night night)

Loves to climb over your legs or whatever is on the floor.

December has been a crazy month, but it was a lot of fun. Here is a recap.

First he had Tyler's birthday and Gauge's first encounter with Santa, but I already posted those so we are skipping ahead a little

The second week in December Gauge (3 and 1/2 months) decided to start rolling over. we are so proud of him. He is so smart and strong.

Then on December 19th I was baptized and confirmed on the 20th.

Tyler performed the baptism it was such a wonderful experience.

It was a wonderful Christmas, with lots of Family and Friends.

We attempted to take some family pictures, not professional, just some to get me by till I can get some professional ones done.

Gauge turned 4 months on Christmas. On the 30th we went to the dr. Here are his stats

Height: 25.5 inches long 70th %

Weight: 15lbs 40th %

Head: 32nd %

He is in the 100th % for development. YAY!!!

He is getting so big so fast here are some of the things he can do

He laughs and screams

He loves to chew on his hands and drulls everywhere.

He tells lots of stories

He can roll over.

He has started to love his toys.

He is such a little busy body, He gets bored so easly. so we are constintly moving around.

He has become such a daddy's boy. He loves when Tyler reads to him.

He had finally outgrown his acid reflex. Thank goodness.

We love you Gauge you bring so much joy into our lives. we are so proud of you.

Last Tuesday was Dane and Tyler's 24th birthday. We had a party for them on Friday night. It was fun. Thanks to all those who came.

Better late than never....

My baby turned 3 months old on November 25th. He has grown so much and is learning everyday. It has been great watching him grow and explore. Here are some of his milestones.

1. He talks, laughs, ans screams all the time.

2. He loves to play with his toys and is getting good at grabbing things.

3. He is so close to rolling over. He gets on his side but those dang arms just seem to get in the way. He also slowy scoots acrossed his blankets (although I don't think he does it intentionally).

He is a little busy body.

We love you son. You have brought so much joy into our lives.

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving. I was a little nervous to make the 10 hour drive with Gauge, but he did so good. He even stayed awake for most of it. I was so proud. It was so fun to see all my Family, and for them to see Gauge. We are all really close, and I miss them a lot.

Great Grandma Rose with Gauge and Harlee (Har is my best friend/cousin Tami's little girl.) She is a doll. So small. she is 10 months old and my baby is almost as tall as her. we love and miss you Har. Gauge misses his friend.

When we came home we wanted to finish out the vacation with a date, so we went to see "Blind Side" It was a good movie, but before we went in the theater Tyler had to teach Gauge how to shoot up some people.

Just a simple question, Are we crazy?? Maybe. We decided to go see my Grandma Rose and the rest of my family for Thanksgiving. They live in Arizona. So are we crazy to make a 10 hour trip with a 3 month old baby?

Any suggestions on how to make the trip easier for our little one?

My baby is officially 2 months old, and today we went to the Dr. I was not excited about the shots. He was so happy and just smiling and kicking, then they stuck him and all the fun stopped. It was so sad. But he is doing good now. Here are his stats.

Deer Hunt 2009

Tyler had a successful deer hunt this year. He did not shoot a trophy buck, but at least we got some meat out of the deal. Congrats honey!!

Tyler and my dad went down on Diamond Mountain for the hunt they were gone a long 10 days, but both came home with a buck. The hunt started on Wednesday and they both shot theirs opening morning, but hung out on the mountain till Saturday.

Tyler has been gone since Friday and unless he gets a deer he will not return till Sunday. This I am sad about. I am missing him like crazy. I just want everyone to know how much i love my hubby, and how thankful I am for everything he does for Gauge and I. He is such a great daddy, and we couldn't ask for better.

Now if he could just get a deer so we could spend some time with this amazing man of ours.

So this past week has been a busy one, but it was so much fun. I had some family come up from Arizona. My Aunt Deeanna, Uncle Stuart, Cousin Tami, her daughter Harlee, Cousin Kera, her daughter Rilyn, Grandma Rose, and my Cousin Stu all came up to take Stu to the M.T.C. on wednesday. It was a bitter sweet day. Stu is an awesome person with a great personality. He will do so good on his mission. I am so proud of him for making such great decisions in his life. On Saturday we went to Park City to do some shopping. I will say that we made out pretty well. Gotta love the outlets.

Then on Sunday we blessed our little Gauge. It was such a great day. He was crying before but as soon as we went into the chapel he fell asleep. Thank goodness. The blessing was beautifuly given by Tyler's Dad, Keith.

So as of tomorrow, Sept 25th my baby will be one month old. CRAZY!! Why is it that the pregnancy goes so slow, (when you want it to go fast), and then when they are born it goes so fast and you want it to slow down. I just want to say how much I love Gauge, he is such a sweet baby.

He has started to talk, and smile at you. He is also awake more during the day. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn everyday.

A late post..... On labor day we went up American Fork Canyon, to do a little fishing and have some dinner it was alot of fun but Jake was the only one who caught anything. We missed Brock, Arin, and Cade, and Dane and Amberly.

2 week check-up

I took Gauge to his 2 week check-up today. He did so good. He didn't even cry when they did he PKU. He was awake and talking through the whole thing. I can't believe my baby is 2 weeks old already. Here are his stats.

Weight: 7lbs 15.5oz 27.25 percentile

Length: 21.25 inches 71.42 percentile

Head: 31.19 percentile

I have a healthy baby. I am so thankful.

p.s. I just want to give a shout out to my wonderful husband. He is the best dad and husband anyone could ask for. He is patient and caring, and I don't know what I would do without him. I love him so much. Thanks for all you do for us babe. We love you!!

How did we get so lucky?? 1. We have one of the cutest babies ever, 2. He is totally sweet and hardley ever fusses. And 3. He is only 2 weeks old and is sleeping through the night, we are talking like 6 to 7 hours. It is heaven.

I just hope it stays that way.

I just wanted to post some pics of my little man.

He is a sweety. We took him to the Dr. on Monday to check his Jaundice levels. He is finally in the clear. YAY!! They also weighed him and he is now 7lbs 1oz. He is growing fast. He was

6lbs 7oz when he was born and dropped to 6lbs 5.5oz befor we left the hospital.

7:38 a.m.) we were blessed with

Gauge Ron Bateman. 6lbs 7oz and 19.5 inches long.

It was a long road but I would do it all again.

That is one proud daddy. He is the best.

He was cumes possitive. Our blood types are not compatable, so my antibodies were attacking his red blood cells causing him to be jaundice. It was the saddest thing. But he is getting better now.

Ok ok, I know I shouldn't complain I still have 9 days, but I am so ready to have this little guy. If anyone has any ideas to get labor started I would appriciate some advise. haha. We are just getting so excited to meet him. Tyler told me that everytime I call him now he gets extremely excited to answer. (and so far everytime I've called him he gets a little let down) but the call he is waiting for will come. I went to the dr. yestureday. Still no progress. Just a little softening. After all this baby is a Bateman, and if you know them you know that they take there sweet time. That would be why all of us girls waited at least 4 years to get married. Stubborn BOYS!!!

Ok so we have 24 days left. And we are completely ready for this little guy to get here. Because of the fact that I have everything ready I am going crazy just watching the clock. So if anyone has any ideas of what I can do to keep busy please let me know.

Update: I went to the Dr. on Tuesday. The little one is in the proper position for delivery, but no dialation, or effacement yet. Dang!! Now it is the waiting game.

33 weeks and 5 days

Here is a baby update... I am now 33 weeks and 5 days but who's counting. haha. I AM!!! I can't wait till he comes. The summer is extremely HOT! I spend most of my time sitting in front of the air conditioner, to keep from melting. Other than the heat we are doing really good. The little one is healthy and strong. Sometimes I feel like a cartoon from all the different directions he will stretch my stomach. He has also turned in the head down position, but not yet engaged. I have started having some small contractions. Which make me excited but I know that there is still a good wait. That is all for now. I will keep you posted.

So here is a glimps of our 4th of July. I know I am a week late, but better late then never right?

In the morning we went with Brock, Arin, and my man Cade, and we went shooting. It was a lot of fun.

It is official Tyler and I have the cutest nephew ever!!! Cade won 1ST PLACE in the Lehi cutest baby contest. He was dressed as John Wayne, complete with gun and all. He looked to dang cute. If Arin and Brock would let me I would just keep him at my house. We love him to pieces.

On Saturday we went to the Zoo with the Bateman's it was so nice. The weather was perfect and we got there as the big crowds were leaving. It was the first time Tyler has been there in like 15 years. He was so funny, he wanted to read every sign about the animals. We will have to go back when we have a little more time for him to fully enjoy it.

Ok so after the deer hunt last year Tyler decided to grow his beard for a full year well we made it 7 months, and now it is GONE, but there were some steps along the way.

So we finally know what we are having.... It's a BOY!!!! We are so excited. Look out stores here we come. He will have 2 boy cousins close to his age. Watch out the Bateman Boys are back. haha. Margaret is in for round 2. Today the Dr. said that he is measuring 2 oz. larger than average. BIG Boy!! Everything looks perfect.

So here is an update. I am now 16 weeks. Yesturday we went to the Dr. and everything is going and growing right on schedule. I just love going to the Dr. I love to hear the heartbeat and Tyler really likes it he gets the biggest grin. Our baby seems to be completely healthy wich is always a relief. I have started to feel some movement, but they are few and far between, but I love each little nudge that I get, it makes the whole pregnancy thing more real.
.... AND the good news.... on March 31st we will be at the hospital to do the big ultrasound and the reveal of the gender. We can not wait!!!!!!!!!

Our family is growing by 2 feet.

It is OFFICIAL Tyler and I are going to have a BABY!!! And I don't think we could be happier. We told our families last night and it was so fun to see all there reactions. I think they were all really happy and excited for us. It is going to start getting a little crazier at the Bateman's on sunday, but it will be a lot of fun. It is fun to see our families grow. I just hope that my baby will be as cute as Cade and Rylee. They put the bar up pretty high.

Baby is due August 23, 2009. I know I messed up the archery elk hunt for Tyler, but i think he is ok with it. haha.

He is here!! Cade Brock Bateman. Arrived October 6th 2008 @ 6:37 p.m. 6lbs. 15oz. and 19 inches long. Anyways he is a DOLL. We love him. Arin did really well, and Brock is a proud papa.

So Tyler and I watched Rylee today, and it was so much fun. She is getting so BIG, and stinkin smart. I left the livingroom for one second and when I came back she had my phone and was playing on the computer. What a cute little business girl. It is so funny to see the things that kids pick up. She is growing up so fast!!!!

Surgery Update

My surgery was one month ago, and for the most part I feel great. I have my downer days, but they are few and far between.

Tyler has an archery elk tag so we went to Strawberry for the opening. Unfortunatly Tyler didn't get an elk, but thats ok cause now we get to go again this weekend.

On the 24th of July the Bateman clan went to Strawberry for the day. Jake and Lynly made us a wonderful dinner. And we all went for a 4-Wheeler ride it so a lot of fun.

I am home and it feels great. I will finally get some sleep. The surgery went well. Thank you to everyone for all your support. I told my doctor to take some pics, but he didn't. So here are some pics to give you an idea of what i was dealing with. I didn't realize how restricted I was in movement, eating, breathing, and just plain living. I can't wait to get my levels worked out and get on with a normal life. "normal???"

A healthy thyroid is the size of a walnut... Mine was the size of a LARGE baked potato!!!!! CRAZY!

The time is here for my last blog......... well for a couple days anyway! Tomorrow I go to the hospital for the cure of my Grave's Disease. It is scary yet exciting at the same time, exciting for the thought that it will cure my protruding eye-balls, buldging neck, and roller coaster mood swings. YAY!!!! Stay tuned for pics and updates on the surgery and the after math of the surgery. The next week should be interesting! Talk to you all soon.

As of Tuesday the 15th of July I will officially be Thyroid-less. I will be having a total Thyroidectomy. I am extremely NERVOUS (needless to say), but at the same time releaved that it will all be over with. I will finally not have to deal with all the doctors, pills, and just not feeling well. And if I am lucky my protruding eyeballs will shrink back into my head (I am keeping my finger crossed for that one).

All I can say is thank my lucky stars I don't look like this.... It helps me realize that things could be a lot worse. I choke all the time on my little goiter, I can't emagine one the size of that.

This is what I get to look forward to!!! YAY!!! (that is a sarcastic yay)

So come Sunday we are temperaraly out of this town. YESSS!! We are going on our un-official, late honeymoon. We are going to Cali for a week. You know you can't go to Cali and not go to Disneyland. (I CAN'T WAIT!!!!) So we are going to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Tyler really wants to go to San Diego and tour the U.S.S. Midway (Navy aircraft carrier). This is a much needed vacation. Ok so Tyler finally graduated on Friday, and cause he has done so well I wanted to get him something really nice. I got him a Henry .22 Mag. A.K.A The Magnatizer... But I had a feeling that he knew what he was getting so I wanted to through him off.. So when we got back to my mom and dad's I had my dad wrap a Red Ryder B.B. Gun, give it to him and when he opened it you could see the look of "What am I going to do with this????" Then my dad came out with his real gun and said to tyler "Oh man I have been wanting one of the B.B. Guns I will trade you straight up for this .22 Mag...." The look on Tyler's face said it all. NEEDLESS to say he LOVES it.

It is always an adventure with my family... My mom, Aunt Charlie, and I went to Arizona where all of my mom's family lives, and all I can say is I am glad we live 600 miles away. They are a lot of fun, but they are also CRAZY!!!

So Tyler and I just found out that we are going to have another niece or a nephew. And we couldn't be happier. Congratulations to Brock and Arin, they are going to be such great parents. I can't wait to see there little bundle of joy. We are so lucky to have such great families, Tyler's family is big and getting bigger. And I love it, there is always something going on. He has 1 niece and a niece or nephew on the way. My family is smaller and I only have 1 niece and she will probably be the only one for a while. I love being apart of his family.
